Because this is pure raw honey which hasnt been processed at all, it is full of microbes and yeasts. The froth that you see is on account of the yeasts digesting the sugars in the honey in presence of pollen, beeswax and other material. Please open the bottle as soon as you receive it and release the gas. If the process continues over the next few days, it means the condition at your place has started to aid the process by yeasts. To prevent further fermentation and bottles from bursting, you need to gently heat up the honey by a few degrees. If you are in a place where the temperatures hit 40 degrees celsius during the day, please transfer the honey to a wide steel utensil and keep it in the sun, covered with a muslin / cotton cloth. The direct heat of the sun will stop the activity of the yeasts. Or you can double boil the honey after transferring it to a steel utensil and placing it in a bigger utensil containing water. Please note that the activity of the yeasts can be limited with a little bit of heat - the honey shouldn't get overheated beyond 50 degrees celsius or else the nutrients will get diminished. So, once the water in the lower container comes to a boil, please switch the stove off in a couple of minutes. 

Both the processes are to suppress the action of yeasts and increase the shelf life of the honey. :)

We are a group of organic farmers in the Ambasamudram Taluk of Tirunelveli District in Tamil Nadu selling Pure Organic Produce direct-to-customer exclusively via this website.

We are not yet certified organic by any agency. We believe that we are taking efforts beyond the standards set by them. We would love to demonstrate this to you if and when you get a chance to visit our farm. Quite a few of the ingredients are foraged from or cultivated at our farm. What we can’t grow yet, we try our best to source, from trustworthy sources, some organic and some are not.

We pack in either palm leaf woven boxes or pouches made out of old newspaper + waste cloth for dry produce. We use plastic bottles for ghees, oils and honey. We use glass bottles for pickles, jams and other preserved produce. Please share with your friends, family or neighbours, if you think the quantity is too much. After all, sharing is caring. These products are perfect for gifting to loved ones as well.

Soil health is our first priority. We want to bring to you unique local value-added products which are now difficult to source.
